Authorities had been looking into whether there was a connection to the Gilgo Beach murders after the arrest of Rex Heuermann last month.

The wife of Rex Heuermann, the suspect arrested on suspicion of murdering three women in the Gilgo Beach, Long Island, area told ABC News Monday that "everything is destroyed" following the arrest of her husband.The Atlantic County, New Jersey prosecutor says there does not appear to be a connection between the murders of four women in Egg Harbor Township in 2006 and the killings of several women on New York's Long Island.

The two sets of homicides involved sex workers whose bodies were dumped in remote, overgrown areas not far from the ocean.
