Swatara Township police say the incident took place at the Walmart located on Grayson Road at 5:17 p.m., adding that it was an isolated incident between two individuals.
Harrisburg residents Raven Persad and Elvis Valentin dropped into Walmart in Swatara Township on Sunday afternoon to pick up a couple of items.
“We were in the pasta aisle and all of a sudden, I heard a big boom,” Valentin said. “Then I just turned around. My wife told me ‘Did you hear that? It sounds like a gunshot.’ Then one more minute passed, next thing people were screaming and running out. Not even a minute [more] like a couple of seconds.”“I left my cart there and we started running,” she said. “Everyone was rushing out and it was overwhelming. I was like, ‘oh my God, I can’t believe this is happening right now.
The shooting was an isolated incident between two individuals, according to police. Dauphin County dispatch reported the call several minutes later, saying someone was shot in the electronics section of the store.
