Houston Astros left fielder Corey Julks celebrates his grand slam against the Toronto Blue Jays during the first inning of a baseball game, in Toronto, Monday, June 5, 2023. TORONTO — Ever since the schedule was released, the Astros have dreaded this current stretch of 17 straight games without a day off. To make things worse, it wraps up with a seven-game road trip through Toronto and Cleveland.

Kyle Tucker, Yordan Alvarez and Jake Meyers also homered, including an Alvarez blast that traveled 452 feet to dead center and landed in the Roger Centre's WestJet Flight Deck. That home run was hit an estimated two feet farther thanIt was a nightmare start for the Blue Jays' Alek Manoah, who has had a couple months full of them. Manoah's ERA ballooned to 6.36 after being able to record just one out in his start.

The damage they inflicted on Alek Manoah was done with singles before Corey Julks belted a grand slam 386 feet to left field. That's not to say they weren't hitting the ball hard. After Mauricio Dubón reached on a blooper and Jeremy Peña bunted his way on, Yordan Alvarez hit a ball 90.3 mph, then the next four hits from Tucker, Julks, Yainer Diaz and Jake Meyers all had an exit velocity of at least 98 mph.
