THUNDER BAY — A Thunder Bay man is facing a charge of attempted murder after an alleged stabbing incident at a north side hotel earlier this month.
The accused, 37-year-old Nicholas Morris of Thunder Bay, was originally charged with aggravated assault after police were called to the Dawson Road hotel on Aug. 5. In a release sent to media on Wednesday, Thunder Bay police said the accused also faces two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, failing to comply with a release order, robbery with a weapon and obstructing a police officer.The accused and the victim, who sustained serious injuries in the alleged attack, requiring hospital treatment at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, were known to each other.
