The last time Ottawa Redblacks QB Dustin Crum saw the Ticats, the game ended with him under Chris Edwards, two yards short of the goal line.

Fast-forward 20 days beyond that 21-13 loss to the Ticats at Tim Hortons Field and things have changed plenty for the Redblacks.At home Friday night to face the Ticats, an East Division rival, the Redblacks have won two straight games, both in thrilling overtime outcomes. And, with Crum now entrenched as their starting quarterback, the Redblacks are looking to continue the momentum.

Instead of losing more players to injuries — they lost starting quarterbacks for the remainder of the season in consecutive weeks — the Redblacks are getting players back from extended absences. “it’s been a long time coming,” Santos-Knox said. “I’ve been eagerly waiting my return. I always want to push myself to get out there. But I know this is a team sport and the guys have really been holding it down. They’ve made it a little easier for guys who maybe needed a week instead of rushing and coming back a week early.”Article content
