Roy Keane defended Mikel Arteta's touchline antics AFC MUFC

Asked post-match if it was too much, he said: “I certainly wouldn’t worry about the yellows, it’s the reds you’ve got to worry about.

“From the Arsenal point of view they’re OK with it because he’s obviously passionate, and you’re not in this job to be liked, he’s there to win football matches for Arsenal – that’s what he’s doing.“He got the yellow card and he has to take his medicine but I generally have no problem with it.“We see other managers doing stuff that we might not agree with, but they’re emotional, they’re passionate, and I think it’s just because he wants to win, I wouldn’t be too hard on him.

When Arsenal legend Cesc Fabregas commented that he likes passionate managers, Keane added: “I’m the same.“Pep [Guardiola] the other night, he was criticised for his interview after the game but I’ve always liked managers who are emotional and passionate, I’ve got not problem with it.”
