With evidence of mismanagement and a lack of transparency uncovered by the auditor general's report on the multi-million dollar ArriveCan app, experts are questioning where accountability lies and who should be held responsible for substantial cost overruns and oversight failures.
Last week, the House Government Operations and Estimates Committee suspended its hearings on ArriveCan after MPs were presented with a 'preliminary statement of facts' prepared by the CBSA. Michel Lafleur, CBSA's executive director of professional Integrity appears before the House Government Operations and Estimates Committee on Feb. 5.
