An Arlington ISD student was taken into police custody after threatening a shooting at Seguin High School.
The Arlington ISD administration building.An Arlington ISD student was taken into custody Monday after making a “threat to shoot up” Seguin High School, police said.
The student who allegedly made the threat was found off campus with a weapon and taken to the juvenile detention center. No injuries were reported.Police have not released any information about the student, citing the fact that the suspect is a juvenile.Multiple Arlington ISD schools, including Pearcy STEM Academy and Ashworth Elementary School, were placed on a lockdown “because of police activity in the area,” a post on the high school’s Facebook page said.
