He explained the reason for ASU's low ranking at the QB position:"He was solid for Notre Dame as a starter in 2022, but it’s not like he was a game-changer for the Fighting Irish. Now that Pyne is in Arizona State with Kenny Dillingham, it will be interesting to see how quickly he can turn fortunes around in Tempe."
Interestingly, Dillingham was Nix's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Oregon last season before behind hired as Arizona State's coach. Arizona's QB situation, with returning QB Jayden de Laura, was ranked No. 8 in the conference in the ranking.
