Arizona Drivers Have The Worst Road Rage; Delaware The Most Courteous In New Study

The study indicates that heavy traffic, emotions unrelated to the drive, and running late all play a large role in road rage

Then it compared and ranked the scores state by state.The most courteous states kick off with Delaware where the worst offense most drivers have dealt with is being insulted or threatened while driving. Idaho takes silver with a score of just 1.76 followed by South Dakota , Louisiana , and Wyoming .

City streets are where most drivers experience road rage. They say that 29.18 percent of their experiences with it are there. They also say that just over a quarter of the road rage experiences they have are on the highway. Just under 15% of the time they're in parking lots followed by intersections with 12.36 percent. Rural roads round out the top five spaces with 6.99 percent of incidents recorded.

Notably, Arizona had one example of extremely violent road rage pop up in the news over the last month. In that case, the driver of what is believed to be a shot and injured another driver. The injured driver went to the hospital and the offending driver is still on the run.
