Quarterback Chad Kelly rushed for three touchdowns in the first half of his CFL starting debut and the Argonauts dismantled Hamilton 32-14.
Kelly, nephew of Buffalo Bills quarterbacking great Jim Kelly, said his uncle told him to “have fun out there and take what the defence gives you.”The home side also got key contributions from running backwho rushed for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Receiver Damonte Coxie also had a memorable night, hauling in six passes for 131 yards, while running back A.J. Ouellette finished with 13 carries for 60 yards. And the Argonauts defence stood tall, limiting the Hamilton offence to 252 yards.
By the time the half was complete, Kelly had three touchdowns to go with nine completions on 14 pass attempts for 185 yards.
