announced Tuesday that its streaming video and gaming services would cost $4.99 each. Apple TV+, the video service, launches on Nov. 1 with shows like "See," a futuristic series in which all humans have been rendered blind, and "The Morning Show," which features Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston. Those who purchase an iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod Touch, or Mac will get a free year of the service. Arcade, the gaming service, will be available on Sept.
and Netflix Inc. headed lower after Apple announced the TV+ pricing, which came in below the $9.99 some analysts had expected. Apple's stock has risen 36% so far this year, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average DJIA, -0.03%, of which Apple is a component, has gained 15%.
