Apple unveiled a long list of updates coming to its newest iPhone operating system, iOS 14, some of which borrowed from features previously introduced by other tech companies, including Slack, Facebook's WhatsApp and Android, which is owned by Google.

On Monday, Apple unveiled a long list of updates coming to its newest iPhone operating system, iOS 14, at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, some of which borrowed from features previously introduced by other tech companies, including Slack , Facebook's WhatsApp and, of course, Android, which is owned by Google.As part of the changes in iOS 14, the iPhone home screen will look quite a bit more like an Android device.

It's a similar concept to Google's instant app feature, which was first announced in 2016. With Google's tool, apps and games can run without being installed, allowing users to try them out first.
