CUPERTINO – Employees at Apple Park in Cupertino were evacuated Tuesday after a suspicious package containing a “bulky object” arrived at the site, according to authorities and media reports.
The Santa Clara County Fire Department’s hazardous materials response team treated the package as a “potential credible threat,” but ultimately determined it posed no threat to life or property, Battalion Chief Mike Mathiesen said in an email.Mathiesen and Apple did not immediately return messages seeking additional details about the incident.
