Apple Inc. is upgrading its MacBook Pro laptop to feature faster chips, the consumer-electronics giant announced Tuesday
The latest MacBook Pro line features Apple’s AAPL newly announced custom-designed M2 Pro and M2 Max chips, which the company says offer better power efficiency and battery life. Apple also said Tuesday that it was debuting new versions of its Mac mini device with M2 and M2 Pro chips. “The new M2 Pro chip delivers pro-level performance to Mac mini for the first time, enabling users to run high-performance workflows that were previously unimaginable in such a compact design,” the company said in its release.
The Mac mini starts at $599. It’s also up for preorder starting today, and availability begins Jan. 24.
