Police appeal after series of bank card thefts in city centre
Police have issued an urgent appeal following a series of bank card thefts in Manchester city centre. The stolen cards were then used to pay for expensive items in Argos at Sainsbury's in Salford.
As well as the expensive purchases, police said one victim reported they had their mobile phone stolen. No injuries have been reported during the thefts so far.A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Officers have released CCTV images of two men they wish to speak to following a series of bank card thefts from person. The offences occurred at around 4pm on 23 September 2022 in Manchester city centre.
