An anti-vax mom has written a polarizing Facebook post sharing that she plans to hand out chicken pox-infected lollipops on Halloween.
-- and has a big bag of the tainted treats ready and waiting.
Along with her caption is the image of a single lollipop held up in front of a larger bag of lollipops -- that she apparently intends to unload for the"good" of the people. "Have you ever seen something that instantaneously makes your skin crawl?" Riley's dad wrote in his October 30 Facebook post. "She could and should lose her registration for this," wrote another, who urged the father -- along with many others -- to report the nurse.
As for the science, it's clear: Vaccines save lives, helping to prevent thousands of deaths each year. In addition, Queensland Health, which oversees staffing at all of the state’s hospitals, quickly refuted the woman’s claim when News Australia reached out.
