A taco stand near National City went viral on TikTok after the owner received a $1K tip. A few weeks later, he's one step closer to buying a food truck.
, a San Diego street taco business once again went viral on TikTok thanks to the generosity of strangers from the Internet.
Morales started the GoFundMe on Jan. 29 and in less than a month raised $50,450. The TikToker shows in his latest video that he was able to give Jimenez $48,149.34 in cash, after transfer fees. “What sticks with me the most is how much of an impact social media can make,” he said. “In that moment, it was a really fun and special moment that brought the community together with a plate of tacos ... And then the fact that we raised nearly $50,000 to help him get a food truck ... from a TikTok! It’s unreal. It’s beautiful. It’s a blessing. And I’m just so thankful that this is all happening for him.
