After a Friday tweet telling her followers one of her biggest goals is putting women’s basketball on the map, it’s clear that’s the way she’s thinking about her newfound stardom, too. “My goal is to bring attention to women’s basketball & for it to be more respected,” Reese, who averaged 23.0 points and 15.4 rebounds per game during in her title-winning season,“No I might not be the best player right now but I know my impact & how much attention I bring to the game so I’m going to continue to do that for those that deserve their flowers in the league now!”
Angel Reese led LSU to an NCAA Championship in 2023, their first women’s basketball national title in school history.Reese, a 21-year-old 6-foot-3 forward who helped lead the Tigers to a national championship last season, has seen her star rise exponentially this summer.
