On Monday, Kerle said he “will not speak to what happened between the mayor and Ken because I was not privy to those conversations.” Kerle said there is no updated estimate for when the cameras will be implemented, but noted there is a work session with the Public Safety Advisory Commission on Feb. 18 to discuss the policy.
Kerle said he looks forward to having officers outfitted with body cameras because they will improve transparency and accountability.
