- Chile-focused copper producer Amerigo Resources announced today that operations at Minera Valle Central have been temporarily disrupted following a significant climatic event affecting central Chile.

Amerigo added that no personnel injuries or accidents occurred, and the company reports no further damage to MVC’s equipment or infrastructure and no adverse environmental impact. Importantly, the company noted that the high-voltage line specialists from one of Chile’s leading companies will begin work as soon as weather permits, and indicated that the repairs could take up to four weeks.
