Amazon announced Thursday that it is raising the price of its annual Prime membership to $139, an increase of $20 per year. (via WFTV)
Amazon Prime was launched in 2005. The service provides members with access to two-day free shipping. Other perks include exclusive movies and television shows,Jamil Ghani, Amazon Prime vice president, said in a statement to
that the increase is in line with “the continued expansion of Prime member benefits as well as the rise in wages and transportation costs.”
