Amazon CEO Andy Jassy warned employees of more potential layoffs to come next year in a letter on Thursday.
In the letter, Jassy said that the company is in the middle of its annual planning review “where we look at each of our businesses and make decisions about what we believe we should change.”“Our annual planning process extends into the new year, which means there will be more role reductions as leaders continue to make adjustments. Those decisions will be shared with impacted employees and organizations early in 2023.
Following Wednesday’s layoff news, the company did not respond to KIRO 7′s request for information about the impact in Seattle and Bellevue.
