One Oakland Hills neighborhood received quite a shock Friday when residents spotted two alpacas roaming free.
Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we're accustomed to all manner of wildlife sightings, be they birds, squirrels, stray cats, even mountain lions. But one Oakland Hills neighborhood received quite a shock Friday when residents spotted two alpacas roaming free.
Around 12 p.m., the friendly alpacas scuttled onto a resourceful woman's driveway, who kept them there using some rope before calling Oakland Animal Services. Riday-White loaded the alpacas into his truck, put them back in their enclosure and ensured it was locked this time around.
