As of 5 p.m. the strongest winds have been recorded over the western half of Nova Scotia and southwestern New Brunswick, with a peak gust of 117 km/h at Halifax Stanfield International Airport. There have been numerous downed branches and trees as a result, and thousands are without power across Nova Scotia and southern New Brunswick.
When it comes to rainfall, the bulk of it has been situated over New Brunswick southwest and central regions of the province thanks to drier air invading elsewhere. This has led to variable rainfall amounts across the region, but there have been reports of 50 to 80 mm, including over 80 mm in Sluice Point, N.S.
