Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney said any information they have will be turned over, but he cannot speak for the FBI.

Rex Heuermann’s attorney says they are looking to obtain FBI files pertaining to an investigation of former Suffolk Police Chief James Burke, who is a convicted felon. Attorney Michael Brown says he believes to some extent, Burke was suppressing the Gilgo investigation.

“It seems contrary to common sense that chief Burke would not let the FBI in to help with this investigation back then with their expertise – that is why we are looking forward to seeing the records from the FBI in regard to Chief Burke," said Brown.Since the last court date there have been 15 disclosures which includes: the Maureen Brainard-Barne’s missing person investigation from NYPD, 7,000 pages on other persons of interest, lab reports and more.

The judge stated in court on Wednesday that he wants all discovery turned over to the defense by the end of July. She did not answer any questions, but her lawyer has stated that she does not believe her husband is capable of committing the crimes he is accused of.
