Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves included many of the cast’s character class abilities in the film, but it did have to make some changes.
While Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves stayed relatively true to the game classes of their characters, there were a few changes. Dungeons & Dragons can be a complicated game, with everything from specific character features and traits to adjudicating combat and damage. Even more so for the film, some of these game mechanics are very visible while others aren’t.
6 Doric the Druid Does Not Cast Spells However, Edgin was not the only Honor Among Thieves character who surprised D&D players by not slinging a single spell. Druids are typically powerful elemental spellcasters as well as prodigious shapeshifters. Their magical abilities stem from nature, allowing them access to powerful magic including healing spells; elemental creation, and plant manipulation.
4 Xenk Does Not Use The Paladin’s Smite However, Xenk the Paladin is also less magically capable in Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves than the player class typically is in the game. While Xenk was clearly a capable and competent fighter and a brave hero, he did not use any of the magical features available to the knights in the game, instead seeming to use magic items.
