All-In, spring 2022Photo: Pascal Gambarte / Courtesy of All-InBarron and Vestbø spent lockdown in the latter’s hometown of Oslo, and they filled their time looking for existing materials with which to assemble their new collection. These weren’t your typical carefree flea-market outings, though; the pair set themselves a contrarian task: “To try to see potential in something that to begin with we didn’t really like,” says Vestbø.
Shoes were the stars of All-In’s first collection. This time around they attached metal platters to scrunchies so that wearers could create their own look, gladiator or otherwise. Other styles of shoes were festooned with Eiffel Tower charms or had straps made of secondhand jewelry. Vestbø describes their aesthetic as having the air of a little girl trying on her blanket and imagining it as a fancy gown, but there’s more going on here.
