The cast of Alice in Borderland Season 2 discusses the end of filming the new season of the Netflix sci-fi action-thriller. Alice in Borderland season 1 was released on Netflix in late December 2020 and received positive reviews from critics, with many citing the visuals, editing, and action as strengths. Season 2 is set to be released in December 2022 and will see the return of all the surviving cast members.
Based on the manga of the same name, Alice in Borderland follows Ryohei Arisu, a game-obsessed man who becomes trapped in an abandoned Tokyo where he, and an ensemble of other players, must compete in a series of deadly games, success in which helps them survive longer. Alice in Borderland has been compared to the hit series Squid Game since both feature an ensemble trying to survive a deadly game run by unknown parties.

It's always interesting to find what explodes in popularity and what doesn't; Alice in Borderland has a robust, passionate fanbase, but it simply wasn't the cultural touchstone that Squid Game was when it came out nine months later.
