Media personality Alex Jones seeks to dismiss a suit filed against him by the father of a victim of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012, claiming the case has caused him 'emotional distress.'

Texas Judge Scott Jenkins is expected to rule this month on a motion filed by InfoWars host Alex Jones to have one of the pending suits related to his media coverage of the Sandy Hook shooting in 2012 against him dismissed on the grounds of"intentional infliction of emotional distress," according toJones was seeking dismissal of the defamation case filed against him by Sandy Hook shooting victim father Neil Heslin.

Jones garnered media attention for his comments concerning the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut in 2012 in which 26 people were killed. Jones told his audience that the shooting event was a false flag and that"no one died." Since then, Jones has said that he was suffering"a form of psychosis" that made him believe certain events were staged, such as the Sandy Hook shooting.
