Not even a full year into her term, Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price is under heavy scrutiny.

That is not their priority.
Ms. Price stated in a formal press conference, "We are having the opportunity to interrupt thefts at the lower level, while at the same time focusing our efforts on how do we stop it through organized retail, and how to essentially choke off the demand that is driving a lot of what we see happening in our communities."
The county requires 73,000 signatures by March 5, 2024 for the recall effort to make it to the November 2024 ballot. Longtime Oakland community advocate Carl Chan, who also serves as an officer of SAFE, likened the crime levels inHe said, "It’s just a matter of time, it’s going to burn everything!"
