The Alabama Democratic Party says it’s reviewing a challenge in Montgomery County’s Circuit Court Judge primary.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Last week’s primary election is over, but one Montgomery County race may get a closer look. The Alabama Democratic Party says it’s reviewing a challenge in Montgomery County’s Circuit Court Judge primary between Monet McCorvey Gaines and Greg Griffin.

Gaines unofficially won the primary but Democratic Party Chair Randy Kelley tells WSFA12 News the party is in the process of putting together a committee to look into an election challenge. A spokesperson for the party confirmed the claim “is contesting actions that took place on Super Tuesday with the use of ballots bearing party insignia.”Auburn University Hosts Alabama Supreme Court Oral Argument
