The Noisy Oyster in Akron’s Merriman Valley partially reopened on Monday.
AKRON , Ohio - Some businesses in Akron are still getting back on their feet after severe storms and flooding pounded the city a couple of weeks ago.“I was just like stunned because it’s a neighborhood hangout,” said customer, Joe Czalkiewicz. “Everyone comes down here multiple nights a week and to see it close was horrible.”“I’ve been here for so long,” said Himmelright. “I’ve been here for four floods, and I’ve never seen it like this before.
“Tiki Underground, Merriman Valley Pizza, and we were allowed to set up shop at Akron Porch Rocker, a couple different places, Frank’s Place, Ray’s, to sell our shirts,” said Curtis. A contractor even had to build a partition so they could at least open the other half of the restaurant.
