Police said early information showed three men were seen shooting in the area, possibly at other people.
AKRON, Ohio - Akron police recovered over 800 grams of marijuana after a report of shots fired Saturday night.
According to police, around 5:30 p.m. Saturday officers responded to Copley Road, Nome Avenue, and surrounding streets after multiple calls of reported gunfire. Officers on scene were given a description of their clothing and their general direction, and moments later, spotted the men. Officers chased the suspects but lost sight of them near the 800 block of Cordova Avenue.
According to police, officers did recover a discarded gun, a duffle bag containing over 800 grams of marijuana individually packaged to sell, an unspecified amount of cash and some articles of clothing.
