The rebranding will include an all-new logo, with the Perkins name written in a vintage-type script, according to CBS. Perkins President Toni Ronayne told CBS MoneyWatch that the restaurant's new menu will include items like the Double Bacon Avocado Crunch Burger and a breakfast double-decker burger.
When speaking with CBS MoneyWatch, Ronayne said the chain is looking to create a "vintage fresh" appearance at its locations to usher in an "Americana vibe." Per the network, the first redesigned Perkins location will open in Orlando, Florida later in the year, with the company building smaller locations that will be around 1,500-square feet instead of the 6,000 square feet locations that are currently found across the country. Ronayne told CBS that the smaller locations could help Perkins expand into smaller towns.
"Consumers are definitely concerned around value and how they are spending their money, and they are wanting to make sure they are heaving the right experience and stretching their dollars as much as they can," Ronayne told CBS.
