All Cuyahoga County employees are being paid out of the new payroll system and the phased rollout of the new timecard system is on schedule.
Cuyahoga County's Chief Information Officer Andy Johnson standing in one of the so-called "war rooms" set up to address problems as the county rolls out the final phase of the Enterprise Resource Planning Project, which will streamline payroll and timekeeping. CLEVELAND, Ohio – Despite what some have called the “long and agonizing process” getting here, Cuyahoga County’s overdue, budget-busting IT overall is now considered a success.
Meet the Enterprise Resource Planning Team. These are the 13 people that Cuyahoga County officials credit for bringing the new payroll and timekeeping systems online. Connie Geddis, who inherited the ERP project when she took over as IT administrator in October, said the county processed 7,123 paychecks, all but 336 of which the county knew it would be able to deliver via direct deposit. While she said the county traditionally issues about 200 paper checks to employees each pay cycle, she attributed the increase to problems with inaccurate banking information.
Chief Information Officer Andy Johnson delivered a second round of good news, reporting a final expected cost for the project of $34.7 million, about $460,000 less than anticipated at the start of the year.
