Adobe is officially launching its suite of generative AI software tools. The company also plans to pay bonuses to creators.
Adobe announced on Wednesday the commercial launch of new AI-enhanced versions of its Creative Cloud, Express, and Experience Cloud software, as well as the official launch of Adobe Firefly, the company’s set of AI software tools.
Users of the free versions of Firefly and Express will have a limited number of credits but will be able to purchase additional credits or to upgrade to paid subscription tiers. Once the credits attached to a particular plan are eclipsed, subscribers will still be able to create AI images and text effects, but “the experience will be slower,” Adobe said.
Ashley Still, Adobe’s senior vice president of digital media, also noted the company is developing an annual bonus plan for contributors to Adobe Stock, which will be based on a formula tied to the number of objects uploaded to the system as well as the number of assets that have been licensed.
