Add an extra kick to the iconic cocktail

Fill your cocktail shaker with ice, then pour the coffee, Oro Gin and Monin Gomme Syrup on top.

Shake hard for 12 seconds, you want the ice to break up a bit, which will chill the drink and create that lovely frothy top, then double strain into a coupe or martini glass. The cocktail has a smooth, light texture with the flavour swinging back and forth from coffee to gin, losing all of the bitterness, yet retaining a lovely coffee aroma.

Traditionally, espresso martinis steer clear of gin as the bitter notes can clash with the coffee, opting for a vodka base instead. However, the distillers and gin experts at Oro Gin have found that their extra-smooth, Scottish Dry gin works beautifully with coffee, to create a brand-new twist on this simple yet impressive cocktail, full of body and flavour.
