I used beef “ better than bullion” in 3 cups of water, and when everything was done I took it off the heat and added a big tablespoon of potato starch dissolved in water, stirred it in and let the last of the simmer thicken it all up. Potato start is great for a ‘ cheaters’ way to thicken and not use flour, plus its an excellent prebiotic .
Great recipe. The cream and broth mixture was not thickening and not reducing in size. I had to put flour to make it thicker and creamer. I think it’s because of a cream. You probably used European one and it’s different. Next time I would put 2 cups of broth instead of 4, to make sauce thicker. The taste is amazing. Thank you.This is hands down the best thing I have ever made. Ever. I used portobello mushrooms and a little shitake mushroom as well bc I can't get the kind in this recipe.
