Activists fighting to raise awareness for missing and murdered Black women and girls in Chicago are holding a march Tuesday, June 14.

The walk is a collaboration between several Chicago groups, including Mothers Opposed to Violence Everywhere. “We hope to continue to bring awareness, we want to get the attention of the mayor and the governor. We want them to join our community task force. We want acknowledgement from the people that can make a difference,” said Fallon Gordon, director of Missing & Murdered Black Women and Girls for Mothers Opposed to Violence Everywhere.
