Activist investor Edward Bramson's lengthy attempts to gain a seat on the board at Barclays appears to have been foiled by investors despite his surprise appearance at the bank's AGM Thursday. Bramson is reported to have said that he thinks there's an option for keeping the investment bank while making it a worthwhile investment for shareholders,In a letter from retiring chairman John McFarlane handed out to investors at the meeting, the bank outlined reasons to vote against Bramson.
