SYDNEY, N.S. — The four municipal councillors accused in a harassment complaint from a former Cape Breton regional fire chief want to see an independent third party perform a review of the complaint made and the investigation that followed.
“My legal advice is that I address the media no further with regards to this,” Seth reiterated to the Post via email on Thursday.CBRM Deputy Mayor James Edwards, left, shown with now-former regional fire chief Michael Seth in June of this year, chaired Tuesday night's council meeting at city hall.
• Allegations of harassment were being pursued “by an individual other than the respondent. … We believe this accusation may have been pushed in an effort to redirect attentions.” “What we are asking to do is … to have the complaint and the investigation, in its entirety, be reviewed to determine if we have been provided our opportunity for natural justice and due process,” MacMullin told council.
