role supports the organization's financial operations. Reporting to the Manager of Finance, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and reports. Proficiency in utilizing ERP software and Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential for tasks ranging from bank reconciliations and journal entries to cash flow reports and HST remittances.
Minimum one year experience in bookkeeping, accounting or a related role for a medium sized organization. Note: A combination of education and experience may be considered.Prepare month-end and year-end working papers to assist with financial statement preparation.Post journal entries to record preauthorized debits to the bank, prepaid expenses, and due to/due from transactions between entities.Prepare H.S.T. Monthly Remittance to comply with CRA tax regulations.
Utilize Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and Outlook for various accounting and administrative tasks.Assist in other accounting and administrative tasks as required.Maintain positive relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical and non-clinical departments, to provide financial information and support.Ensure job-specific process documents outlining position and organization requirements are kept up to date.
Contribute to the development of a positive workplace culture by promoting teamwork, collaboration, and open communication within the finance department and across GHC.Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures. Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting, Word for documentation, and Outlook for communication.Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies or trends.Demonstrated ability to work independently and interdependently as part of a team.Ability to work under the pressure of tight timelines and emergent issues.
