An acclaimed investigative journalist was found stabbed to death outside his Las Vegas home Saturday morning, his family and authorities said.
The killing of Jeff German, 69, of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, is now under investigation by authorities, who stress they believe the stabbing was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
German's more than three-decade-long career saw him break stories on organized crime, government corruption, the Las Vegas mass shooting, and more, according to his news organization. “The Review-Journal family is devastated to lose Jeff,” Executive Editor Glenn Cook said. “He was the gold standard of the news business. It’s hard to imagine what Las Vegas would be like today without his many years of shining a bright light on dark places.”
