Since the impeachment vote, and the Senate's acquittal in September, lawmakers have been divided in their assessments of how the trial was handled. A vocal group that includes some House Republicans, Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, and former President Donald Trump have criticized House leadership for the impeachment process.
