The Athletics jumped to a 6-1 lead and held on to beat Tampa Bay to win three of four in road series.

The A’s were opportunistic on offense and got 6 1/3 strong innings from starter Cole Irvin Thursday to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-3 and win three of four games in a road series against a team that won 100 games last season.
