An off-duty Philadelphia police officer, who spent 27 years with the department, was killed in a crash in Somerton while on his way home from work, authorities say. Police do not believe the 18-year-old driver who hit the officer's car was impaired, but they do believe speed was a factor.
The Philadelphia Police Department is grieving the loss of one of their own after an off-duty officer was killed in a crash in Somerton on Thursday.
According to authorities, when officers and medics arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved in the crash. A Philadelphia police officer was killed in a crash while on his way home from work, authorities say. FOX 29's Steve Keeley has the latest.
