Wonder Bread and Old Spice have come on board to run two original paint schemes from Talladega Nights in Sunday's race.
Stewart-Haas Racing announced Monday that two of its NASCAR drivers, Ryan Preece and Chase Briscoe, will run the paint schemes from two of the hero cars seen in the 2006 NASCAR operaThe cars will run with sponsorship from Wonder Bread and Old Spice, the original sponsors in the movie, during Sunday's race at Talladega.
In the original film, Ricky Bobby and Cal Naughton Jr. ran these cars while driving as teammates for Dennit Racing. At the peak of their fictional careers, Naughton was known for helping Bobby "slingshot" to the lead of races and collect wins. Stewart-Haas Racing has surely studied the tape to unveil the move in Sunday's race.
