Duncan attended the 1993 and 1997 Games as an athlete, was at the 2015 and 2019 events as a coach and is a sports lead technical representative for this year’s competition in Charlottetown.“As a young person, it was the everything. You felt like you were at the Olympics,” Duncan said. “To be able to do it as a coach or an official, you get to be a kid again. You get to relive all those wonderful moments. And being around people that are striving for excellence in sports is so rewarding.”
“For a lot of athletes, this is of the biggest events they’ll go to,” Keegan said. “It’s the biggest multi-sport event in Canada.”“He just told me to be smart, shoot good and no one is really watching you, they’re just watching the target and how you do,” she said. “It feels like more stress is taken off of me.”“I am enjoying taking part in all of the Canada Games’ experiences, including living in a dormitory,” she said.
