Among the items stolen were paintings by Andy Warhol and Jackson Pollock, several Yogi Berra World Series rings, a Tiffany lamp from 1903 and several antique firearms.
Charges have been filed against several Pennsylvanians for a string of thefts from museums, jewelers and antique stores over a span of 20 years.
The charges span a period of over 20 years, and include a series of thefts of art, artifacts and memorabilia from several museums. A list of objects stolen include the following, in addition to various pieces of jewelry and other items from antique and jewelry stores across Pennsylvania, New York and Rhode Island:
Six championship belts, including four awarded to Carmen Basilio and two awarded to Tony Zale stolen in 2015 from the International Boxing Hall of Fame, Canastota, New York Five trophies worth over $400,000, including the 1903 Belmont Stakes Trophy, stolen in 2013 from the National Racing Museum & Hall of Fame, Saratoga Springs, New York
Various gems, minerals, and other items stolen in 2017 from the Franklin Mineral Museum, Franklin, New Jersey
